I don’t believe I would be able to join this community, but I do wish to post why. It is impossible for me to believe that this nation, being Christian in origin, is now against many things Christian, especially when it comes to the truth. Christian truth is not a hate crime, it’s not hate speech, it has nothing to do with hate; rather, there are many “Christians” that have taken the words of the Bible, and of their pastors and their fellowships, to the extreme, and have worked against themselves/ourselves to push many people away from God rather than to serve as emissaries to bring people to Him through Christ.
This does not change the basis of the Christian message, and the ignorance of those who fail to listen will, indeed, live to see the consequences of their beliefs.
As this is a forum for determining what is wrong with our nation, and giving suggestions and making ways for those participants who are here to have a voice to make it right, I offer the following under this Sexual Offenders category… homosexuality.
Those who practice this abominable and evil choice of false lifestyles, and those who support them, offend more than 67% of Americans and I deeply. 2% of our population is leading the rest of us around by our noses via the laws of this nation, through the media on our television sets and across the internet, and forcing their ill-mindedness on my sons and I.
Homosexuals have no less rights than any other American, and I believe in the deepest parts of my heart they need no more. What a homosexual couple does behind their own closed doors and drawn shades is up to them; they will answer to God for those sins. What a homosexual couple does on my television or movie house screen, particularly on television shows I have loved for a while and do not wish to turn off, though I do not wish them to be corrupted by this filth, either, and what I hear in the news, and their gay pride parades, and the fact they are working to destroy what small vestiges of proper marriage remain in this nation, IS my concern.
The Bible calls on all Christians to love the sinner and hate the sin. While these people are behind closed doors, in the shadows, and come about when the Holy Spirit calls them, I will be happy to love them, hate their sin, and try to bring them to a true knowledge of God without violence or chiding or disruptive hate-filled arrogance and stupidity, I can be loving. While these people continue to force their doctrine in the faces of my sons, my family, and I, however, they are slapping me in the face with a gauntlet, and I am preparing to fight.
There is no reason for a disease of the mind to be the downfall of the United States of America. If you have ever seen the movie “Black Snake Moan”, one of the main characters, played by Christina Ricci (sp?), was under the horrible influence of what the other main character, played by Samuel Jackson, referred to as a demon. She was self-destructive, a sexual monster, a predator in her own right who always ended up being the prey. Yet, by the time Jackson completed the performance of his Christian duty, Ricci’s character was cured, and both of them had come an extraordinarily long way in the fight for righteousness.
My final take on homosexuality is that it needs to be dealt with in a similar manner, that it is a disease of the mind bringing about the cause of sexual offense against one another, even in the privacy of one’s own abode. Unfortunately, the head of our nation has become so twisted in the last thirty or forty years that we are no longer able to see it for what it is, and therefore we call what is evil, good, and what is good, evil. There are so many who mindlessly fight to change, or fix, what hasn’t been broken for several thousand years and, unfortunately, those people are succeeding at completing the twisting of this nation. Like in the movie “The Chronicles of Riddick” where the Necromongers are seen, in their own ranks, as saviors of mankind, even as they’re fighting to destroy it to power themselves to their own final destination, the homosexual community, and those who support them, do not realize, nor will they be swayed from their course. However, also as in that movie, they can be stopped.
I don’t hate those who practice the sin of homosexuality, but I do hate the sin. Those who recklessly practice it, abandoning reason for madness, may never be convinced, but they can be saved yet. The greatest sexual offense in this nation is homosexuality, even though it’s between two consenting adults, because it has, does, and will lead to all manner of other problems that even many of us who are against legalizing same-sex marriage are incapable of seeing at this time.
